About
Toni Amato, founder of Write Here Write Now, is taking a medical sabbatical to heal after battling major health issues for two years. As a self employed writing coach and LGBTQI community activist, Toni has no employer benefits to help him through this short term leave nor financial resources to support his continued recovery. Right Here. Right Now. is a community-driven effort to raise funds to support his living expenses and ensure access to occupational health and medical therapies into 2012.
Through his life in service, Toni provides individual support to folks who need it—whether that need be spiritual guidance, editing and writing coaching, or hot coffee and a warm place to stay. He launched the Write Here Write Now community, dedicated to providing safe, accessible, and financially viable (read: free in most cases) spaces for the literary support and development of marginalized groups, including LGBTQI people. In his spiritual practice, he has guided many LGBTQI folks through their individual struggles and celebrations; the creation of families; through weddings, funerals and births.
